18th June 2023
On Thursday 29th June we welcome Pippa Chapman garden designer, consultant & author. Pippa will give an enlightening talk about her own work and how she turned her grassy and paved garden into an abundant, biodiverse, edible and beautiful forest garden. Pippa shares her practical tips with us.
Pippa Chapman has been gardening for over 30 years. In 2007 she left her job as Head Gardener on a private estate, to take a year-long practical apprenticeship at RHS Harlow Carr.
She was introduced to forest gardening and permaculture and in 2010 set up a sustainable gardening business with her husband. She grows a wide variety of fruits, flowers, herbs and annual and perennial vegetables in her small backyard, creating a beautiful, edible and wildlife friendly space.
Join us at the Mount Hermon chapel starting with refreshments at 7pm.

So we got your attention………………..yet we’re sorry to disappoint as we cannot afford for Monty to come to our meetings but YOU could be Addingham’s very own ‘Monty Don’.
Could you write regular articles and share your knowledge and experience of growing/gardening and allotmenteering? Come along to our annual meeting on Friday 3rd March and make yourself known to a member of the Management Committee and we can start to get you on the small screen – the AAGA website, our Facebook page and Instagram. Today Addingham……………tomorrow the world. What you waiting for? If you can’t get along email me,
Geoff Mills at gm@geoffmills.co.co.uk
23rd February 2023
Friday 3rd March sees us holding our first Annual Meeting since the Management Committee was reformed. We have lots to tell you yet we also want YOUR ideas. What would you like to see the Association focus on during this 50th Anniversary year? What can we do ‘together’ to promote growing more of our own produce at home, in planers and on our allotments? Are there ‘open spaces’ that could be used to cultivate crops for communal use? Are there people out there willing to share knowledge and experience? Could you write a ‘blog’ or ‘post’ on a specific topic or write a regular ‘Jobs to do this week or month’?
Come along to our meeting and tell us all……………see you then!
