2019 Talks

Our Winter season of speakers continues on Thursday February 28th when we welcome expert horticulturalist Joe Lofthouse from RHS Harlow Carr and the Swinton Park Estate who’ll be giving us lots of timely advice for the 2019 season on growing to eat.

On Thursday March 28th Robin Graham, who’s a specialist auricula grower and owner of Drointon Nurseries, will be talking about the history, care and cultivation of these beautiful plants. Robin will also have a selection of auriculas for sale.

Both meetings start at 7.30pm at Mount Hermon Church Hall on Main Street.

Further details of our meetings, plus Spring and Annual Show classes and results, can be found on our website Also contact details, how to become a member of AAGA, regular newsletters, and details of our allotment shop which stocks an excellent range of garden compost, fertilisers etc. And finally if you’re interested in taking an allotment you’ll also find details of how to contact our Allotments Manager.
